The West of England Society of Chartered Accountants (WESCA) is the regional ICAEW society which supports us, their student society, through the Badcass President who is also WESCA Deputy President. The society was formed in 1903 as the Bristol Society of Chartered Accountants.

Sarah Matthews is a Senior Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Bristol. She has extensive experience of working with a wide range of clients from large listed companies to middle market businesses. She advises on financial reporting issues for several FTSE 350 clients and provides assurance and advisory services to clients across both the public and private sectors
.A member of the region’s corporate treasury team, Sarah was previously part of PwC’s global accounting consulting services group where she advised on UK and international accounting. She sits on the ICAEW’s technical advisory committee and chairs the district committee, giving local ICAEW members an opportunity to comment on emerging accounting and audit issues.
Sarah leads her local Girls’ Brigade company and is a founder member of the Cappuccino Club, a women’s network in Bristol. She also sings and plays the drums.

- The City and County of Bristol
- County of Gloucestershire
- County of Wiltshire (except the District of Salisbury which is in the Southern Society)
- District of Mendip of Somerset (the rest of Somerset is in the South Western Society).
