Hawaiian Night 2006 - Sponsored
by Hays Recruitment
Thursday 22 June
The inaugural BADCASS Hawaiian
Night took place on Thursday 22nd June 2006 at the Clifton
Wine Bar. The event was kindly sponsored by Hays Accountancy
and Finance. Attendees could easily have been forgiven for
thinking they actually were in Hawaii as they entered the
venue. BADCASS members were each presented with Hawaiian
leis around their necks to express “Aloha” in
traditional Polynesian fashion. The beer garden of the Clifton
Wine Bar took on a positively tropical flavour with members
wearing some fantastic tropical attire. The sky was clear
and the sun was shining but unfortunately the temperature
in Bristol was not quite as high as in Honolulu.
Drinks were plentiful and it
was not long until the Hawaiian cuisine was presented to
all. The food really was fantastic with some members commenting
that it was some of the best food ever sampled at a BADCASS
event.
The Hays representatives
judged the best costume competition. It was unanimously
decided that the winner was from Ernst and Young who had
opted for classical Hawaiian dress with a colourful twist.
At the end of the evening all that was left to do was to
bid “Mahalo” to all at what was a great summer
event.
