MISSION
STATEMENT
Bristol & District
Chartered Accountant Students' Society (BADCASS). BADCASS
is the society which represents those people training
to be chartered accountants in the Bristol area. Any individual
under a training contract with the ICAEW (Institute of
Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) or with ICAS
Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland) is automatically
a member of their local student society also. Please note
that ICAS students are not automatically subscribed to
BADCASS, this must be done by individual firms.
The society's organisation
is run by the committee, made up of students from firms
across the region, and they represent you as provisional
members of the institute.
Our aim as a committee is to
enhance students' personal development and improve networking
skills within the accountancy community through the organisation
of social and work-related events throughout the calendar
year. We also provide a link for students to the national
institutes and WESCA (West of England Society of Chartered
Accountants) - the district society.
BADCASS covers more than just
the Bristol area, it extends as far as Cheltenham, Gloucester
and Swindon and we attempt to provide services for all
our students. If you feel we are not doing enough in your
area, or you would like to know more about what the committee
do, please contact Julie Langdon, the BADCASS administrator
to find out more!
